I am looking for a new/used SUV to replace my 2005 Touareg V8. I absolutely love my Touareg, its super luxurious even by today's standards. I don't want a vehicle that screams I have money like a Cayenne or Audi Q7 do, even though they are the logical replacements for my Touareg since VW no longer brings them to the US. I am also a big fan of old school luxury, like wood accents, softer suspension, and material quality. I don't care about tech in cars other than CarPlay or Android Auto. I am half convinced I should just look for a 2017 (last year they were made here) low mileage Touareg however, maybe I should expand my horizons to other options, even other vehicle types.
Here is why I love it:
- Orangey leather (contrasts really nicely)
- Navigation
- Heated front and rear seats
- Heated steering wheel
- 4 Zone Climate
- Quiet Interior
- Really good 11 speaker sound
- Tows 7700lbs
- Unstoppable 4x4 with center and rear lockers
- Does not scream money like the Audi Q7 or Cayenne does
- Wood accents
What I don't like:
- Getting old
- Air suspension is a love/ hate relationship
- poor MPG avg ~14ish MPG
- No bluetooth
What I need:
- Towing 5000lbs (at least)
- Quiet interior
- Good sound system
- AWD/ 4x4
- hopefully better than an avg 14mpg but that can be tough to find for something that can tow
- CarPlay/ Android Auto
- Heated seats
