I'm looking at a 2009 Pontiac Vibe 130000km automatic 2.4L engine for $5200 or a 2012 Mazda 3 Hatchback 160000km manual for $6000.
Which car should I buy? The 2.4L has the excessive oil consumption issue, owner said they put in 1 quart every 8 weeks (which I estimate is approx. every 1600-2000km). That is my only real hesitation about it.
The car is just a 2nd vehicle for our family that will be used to get to/from work mostly(2km roundtrip) and trips around (our small) town mostly just a few km here and there. I don't need anything fancy just something to get from point A to B and to last 2-5 years before we buy something else.
I feel like the Mazda could be a little more fun to drive, but I also feel like I should save a little money and buy the Pontiac. Thoughts?
