My buddy has a 2008 F150 Lariat Extended Cab with the 5.4L 2V RWD V8 (important tidbit) with 241k miles on it. Trucks been pretty decently taken care of, but the transmission just took a turn for the worst (no 3rd or 4th gear). He's trying to figure out if he should fix the truck, or try trading/selling it. If the latter, he's open to pretty much anything 4 door, decent MPG (12/15 or better), and has enough power to get up to speed in traffic when it needs to

He's mostly trying to decide if it's more worth getting the truck fixed ($3300, give or take depending on where he takes it) or to just get a new car
