Hi all,
Looking to upgrade from a 98 accord v6 coupe daily driver. I've been driving this car for over 10 years now and it's time for a change. I'm looking for a sedan, probably midsize so I can grow into it, good mpg, solid safety features, reliable, and some handsome looks too. I'm thinking a higher trim as well, since I'll probably have this car for a long while.
I started out looking at used and really liked the looks of the '16 mazda6 and later. I'm not a fan of 19 inch rims though, as I live in MN and the roads have treacherous potholes, but it's not a deal breaker. The inside tech wasn't super impressive either but I could live with it.
Then I saw a new 2018 accord and fell in love. Despite the funny grill, I really like the look of the car. The EX trim has everything that tickles my fancy too. The only problem is the 28k MSRP, which I know the OTD price would be a little under that, and the fees and taxes might be burdensome too. I'm doing pretty well financially, a house is in my near future and I don't know if I want that large of a monthly payment even with the 2.9% apr Honda is offering now.
So my question is, what else should I be checking out? Ive looked at most of the economical mid sized sedans but nothing else really jumped out at me. Just looking for ideas to broaden my horizon, since I feel like I'm realllly focused on this new accord.
