I currently own a 2001 Toyota Corolla, which was my first car. Bought it used and been driving it for the past 13 years.
Since that time I have saved up enough to afford something in the $35,000 range. I have been highly interested in hatchbacks, mainly both the Volkswagon GTI and Lexus CT200H.
Both seem generally more powerful than what I currently drive so I cannot gauge much, but I enjoyed test driving both. However, I am worried about the long term stigma of Volkswagon maintence vs Hybrid maintence.
Can anyone give me some input on both of these models, or if there are other hatchbacks to that quality I should look into?
