Hi all,
Perhaps I am looking for a needle in a haystack, but I'm trying to upgrade from my falling apart 98 ram. After buying this, I thought I'd swear off future rams because of all the rust and frame issues, but wondering if I'm being shortsighted because of it being a truck from the rust belt. Now that I'm out of the rust belt, I hope I can find something a bit better.
My requirements (this will mostly be a daily driver, but I'm working on rebuilding a house so need bed space and the ability to tow certain rental tools. I do not want an SUV or Hatchback or Crossover)
- 6.5' bed
- Crew cab (the one where it's a much smaller second door for the back row. On my ram it has suicide doors that open the opposite way. Just don't want a huge cab)
- Don't mind about flex fuel or any special features. Would like it to be at least a V6 so it can tow smaller things (not a boat or house or large loads).
- Would really like a backup camera. These things are big and it can get difficult reversing out of places.
I know that most people will probably say "Go Toyota" and I would if they weren't 1.5x the cost of other brands. I guess if the powertrain is good enough I'd be open to a Dodge again, but would prefer the most reliable brand.
Thanks for any pointers.
