Post Body

Looking for a 1997 or older (smog exempt) diesel car. Will be my winter car, I have a Miata for the summer.

Wagon would be ideal and manual transmission would be a dream come true. It seems like my only options are FWD Volvos.

I’ve done a couple google searches and can’t seem to find anything like this. I wish there was a Volvo 850 TDI AWD but as far as I can tell they’ve never existed.

Anyways if there’s an obvious option I’m missing please let me know.

How much worse are FWD cars in snow than AWD?

Probably better to ask about that in a Volvo subreddit but I’m open to basically any brand.
