Buying a Car with a Limited Budget

Hello!

I am a broke student living in Poland who is thinking of getting his first car. The problem is that my budget is only around 2000PLN (450€) for the purchase. Of course that limits the selection and I am aware that maintenance costs are inevitable over time, but I could calculate that into my later monthly budget.

So I have come here to ask for any advice when buying a car for such a limited budget. Are there any brands/models which are particular reliable for such a budget? Is it better to get a 15 year old car with higher mileage, or a little okder car with lower mileage? And anything else is appreciated!
