I have a 2012 volkswagen cc (90,890 miles) in my driveway that i’ve been carting from shop to shop since i got it (4 days ago) trying to determine if it’s a decent, reliable buy. from what i’ve been told by the shops - it’s got a couple codes popping up, including an emissions leak, and oil pan leak, and one of the struts need to be replaced cause it was put in wrong. also the brakes make a noise when i’m turning while i’m braking. called the dealer and was offered a possible replacement in my price range - a 2014 toyota yaris (87,940 miles). now i’m super conflicted - i’ve always read that toyotas are top notch in reliability but everyone complains about the yaris being too basic. on the other hand i need something that can be repaired easily. i already have a 2013 audi A4 that costs a fortune to maintain and repair, so would if i keep the cc would it be the same situation? what’s your experience? if you were me, what would you go with? thanks reddit, y’all are awesome 👏
