D197 Version Control
Post Body

Has anybody taken the new version of this class? Iā€™ve browsed the WGU subs and found a guide, but In u/jayflex1010 post for step A it isnā€™t the same as setting up in the ā€œgitlab how-toā€ link.

After using the single sign on Iā€™m already in WGUā€™s group. After following the steps I have an empty repository with my student id/ course number in student then in student-repos it has D197 version control with all the files.

So I went with the link and after creating my working branch on gitlab and cloning it I have the files on my local machine.

Moving on to step C I only have the main branch on my terminal. Given that youā€™re supposed to modify the three files on the working branch Iā€™m now stuck. Also on gitlab under working branch it says ā€œforked from an inaccessible project.

Iā€™m beyond confused, so any help is appreciated

TIA
