The most notable one I'm aware of was the old r/desperation; the original mod left Reddit, which made it available for r/redditrequest. Unfortunately, a prude then got it, and just deleted everything and put up a rude message. (It has since moved to r/PeeDesperation, which itself recently reopened)
That wouldn't be an issue here; if the current mod disagrees with any changes I make, they can just revert them. I'm not planning on making any sweeping changes tho, just getting the formatting and stuff consistent as previously discussed. Mods added by the top mod can't remove the top mod either, so the system is pretty safe against malicious takeovers (at least as long as the top mod doesn't abandon the sub).
