I (30f) met this person (32m) on tinder 5 weeks ago and since then we’ve been texting each other everyday, spent time with each other on discord watching movies during the weekends and our phone calls have often gone on for hours. I had such a nice time with him.
He made plans to come see me in a few days and yesterday he booked his flight tickets and accommodation for the first 3 nights. He will be travelling from the UK to South East Asia, where I am, and that’s almost 7000 miles which is crazy to think about, and we’ll be travelling a few places in my country for 18 days.
Because he is coming from so far away, the stakes seem so high for it to go okay and I have anxiety so I tend to overthink and freakout about anything and everything. Like him changing his mind and cancelling the trip altogether, or I ruin things from being too anxious... This makes me more nervous than excited and I know the 2-3 days leading up to me seeing him will feel like anxiety hell 🙃
Would love to have some advice, personal experiences or reassurances (caution is welcome as well) because I just want to be happy and excited that he’s coming all the way just to see me and not let the anxiety soil my spirits!
