For women who have a solid career in their respective countries and who had to move to their SOs country to close the gap, how did it go for you? I (F,25) and SO (M, 30)
Post Body

I am really excited about closing the gap with my SO but is also scared about a lot of things. I’m a Southeast Asian and he’s from Northern Europe so there are a lot of adjustments to do. I also have a solid career in my country. I can’t wait for us to start living together but I’m not also sure what are the best steps to take so I won’t feel like an outsider or that I’m a burden? He has a nice paying job and has always reminded me that money is never an issue and I am free to do whatever makes me happy but it’s more of me wanting to achieve something for myself.

I’m an extrovert so I am trying to be positive that I won’t have a hard time making friends. I love learning languages but their language is a bit hard - thank God a lot of people know how to speak English.

PS. I have the tendency to equate my self-worth with my achievements (and I can say that at this point of time - I had built a strong professional network and career for myself already; i’m 25, btw) so starting from zero will be very very difficult for me. 🙈

Do you have any tips or advice? Thank you! 🥺
