How do you approach weeklies?

I’m new to WW, as of 3-4 weeks ago. I consistently have 30-40 weeklies left over at the end of each week and I’m wondering if I should:
-switch up my foods and eat less zero point foods to get more variety, using up some weeklies (this is what I’m leaning toward)
-keep doing what I’m doing and think of those points as for mostly unexpected meals or special events
I’ve been losing about a pound per week but it’s been dragging this week. I’m wondering what others do. Thanks!
