Getting back into powerlifting after ruptured discs?
Post Body

Hey everyone, To make a long story short, I found out after my last powerlifting meet that I had ruptured two discs in my lower back after my last powerlifting meet. It's been about 6 months since then, and I've been slowly getting my numbers back up, but my lower back has been an absolute killer. The doctor said that I needed to focus on my core, which I've been doing quite diligently since that time, but it still doesn't help me with my deadlift whatsoever. I'm at 165 lbs and while my last One Rep Max was 397 lbs, I can't begin to go past my bodyweight anymore on DLs, irrespective of whichever stance I use, without my back screaming blue murder at me.

Has anyone else here ever dealt with an injury like mine? If so, how are you working with or around it? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
