Is it ok for me [M22, 189cm, 77kgs] to eat fasts food to get my calories up while working out? I really struggle with eating and find this is the easiest and least stressful way to do so. (I’ve tried healthy eating in the past but had to be borderline on the verge of puking after every meal to reach my targets).
Are there ways to mitigate the negative risks to my health associated with this? E.g. the high salts, sugars and unhealthy fats. For reference I’ve been eating it for lunch every day... (large double quarter pounder meal 24 pc nuggets).
For my other meals, I usually have a banana / berry smoothie with protein yoghurt, oats, peanut butter and honey (breakfast). Then for dinner I’ll have some form of meat plus vegies/ salad.
I assume my micronutrients are ok? I’m just scared I’m having too much fast food for it to be healthy no matter how many other healthy foods I’m eating or how much I work out.
Thanks for the advice.
