Is Eating Under 2000 Calories To Low For An 18-Year-Old 5'9 Sedentary Or Lightly Active Male Weighing 102.4 Pounds?
Post Body

Hello Everyone. I was just wondering if eating under 2000 calories a day is to low for an 18 year old 5'9 male weighing 102.4 pounds. I always eat under 2000 a day (Usually 1200-1400 but sometimes more) and I don't know if its enough for me to start gaining weight or not to get to the normal weight for my age and height. All help is appreciated!

No, itโ€™s enough

I just put your stats in one of those calorie calculator websites and according to it youโ€™d need 1770 calories per day to maintain your weight, so 2000 calories is enough to gain some weight for the time being. I would recommend you speak to an actual health professional though rather than a bunch of redditors. Good luck in your weight gaining journey :D
