Hello Everyone. I was just wondering if eating under 2000 calories a day is to low for an 18 year old 5'9 male weighing 102.4 pounds. I always eat under 2000 a day (Usually 1200-1400 but sometimes more) and I don't know if its enough for me to start gaining weight or not to get to the normal weight for my age and height. All help is appreciated!
No, itโs enough
I just put your stats in one of those calorie calculator websites and according to it youโd need 1770 calories per day to maintain your weight, so 2000 calories is enough to gain some weight for the time being. I would recommend you speak to an actual health professional though rather than a bunch of redditors. Good luck in your weight gaining journey :D
