G'day everyone! So, bit of background as to why I'm getting into the weed world. I suffer depression, anxiety, IBS and insomnia. I was diagnosed when i was 13 years old (i am now early 30's). I have been through counselling and a lot of antidepressants. Still in counselling but weaned of antidepressants about 5 years ago. Started them up again about 2 months ago but have weaned of them since. I tried weed once when i was 18 but had a bad experience due to smoking too much as i didn't know what i was doing.
Now to present day, I recently bought 3.5g a few weeks ago. My mate grinded it up for me and rolled them into joints. I smoked about maybe a quarter just to see how i went and my depression and anxiety lifted for almost a week. It has given me the most relief iv had in over a decade. I do believe that weed can help a lot of conditions. Iv seen it first hand with a family member who is disabled and suffers from seizures. As for myself, it has given me a lot of relief, way more than antidepressants ever did.
Now I have 0 knowledge of weed in general, strains, what to do, etc. I've been trying to do some research on strains, what to try, how many puffs to try but still need guidance. If anyone could help me into this wonderful world, or has any advice, i would greatly appreciate it. I would prefer to not be a 'heavy' smoker and do it occasionally (not sure how often) and would prefer a joint rather than a bong.
