To me the saddest thing is if someone would look back on it and think to themselves "all those brands sponsoring me mean that I'm Someone." Like, it wasn't about getting married to the love of your life, starting a new chapter in your life, or anything like that. It was about the fact that you advertise yourself enough that companies paid attention to you, because that is the more important/worthy/interesting thing.
It just seems like the most awful way to give yourself any meaning.
