This was submitted to LegalAdvice and picked up by BOLA. A guy is under contract for a house and a few dozen acres of property. The property has most recently been an event venue. Days after his offer is accepted, the buyer learns that the current owners have created a new LLC and are taking reservations into 2023 for weddings and ticketed events to be held at this venue. And theyโve structured the LLC so that the property, which will be owned by the buyer, is on the hook for delivering these events, but the new LLC is getting all of the deposits for the bookings.
