Backyard Reception Do’s and Don’ts/Tips and Tricks?

Post Body

Hi all! My fiancé and I decided we’re going to get married at the courthouse next year on our anniversary date. We’ve been together for a long time so the date is meaningful for us. That is on a Wednesday. That following Saturday we are planning a backyard reception on the water at a friend of our’s estate. I’m looking for advice and tips from anyone that may have done this themselves to make sure I’m not missing anything. The food is going to be casual (we have a favorite bbq place coming to cater). We are renting a tent/tables/chairs/dance floor/lighting. The house is quite large so we’re planning on guests using the restrooms inside. Would love any tips too on the day of timeline. Did you greet guests as they came? Get announced in? Left and got hitched alone ala Jim and Pam style? I’m all ears! Thanks everyone!
