Hello weddit! Just wanted to share/rant. I'm honestly feeling so weary and don't want to go and find a wedding dress. Not because I'm not excited but because there probably won't be anyone who will join me or help me with it.

My parents don't care about my marriage (they're divorced and dad doesn't like my fiance because he's of a different ethnicity and my mum is a narcissist parent who hates the fact that I'm getting married) and they've told me to handle it myself. My sister stays in a different state and it's far and cost a lot just to get to me. My friends also live far away. The one person who has kept me sane and happy is my fiance but I cant possibly bring him to try on wedding dresses together!

I'm also horribly insecure about my image and hate buying clothes because I'm plus sized and I always find it so difficult to get clothes that fit. Finding a wedding dress won't be easy in my country with very limited plus size dresses too.

This has led me to fear going to any bridal shops to try on dresses. I just feel so sad thinking about how I'll be so alone doing it and/or feel like crap because of how I look.

Perhaps anyone has some advice on what to do? Did you have anyone with you when choosing the dress? I'd love to hear some stories to get my mind off the sadness. Thanks for listening.
