I have built websites with wix and blogspot and rather enjoy the process! It's a fun challenge, and I love creating my exact vision. However, I'm not sure if I can use those platforms to plan my wedding, particularly the RSVP portion. I've read around the sub for discussion but would like some specific advice...
- we're inviting a large group (250 maybe?) to the ceremony and cocktail hour
- we're inviting a small group (roughly 100-150?) to the reception where...
- we'll have a plated meal with a meat option and a vegan/gluten free option
- we are not allowing children under 12 to the ceremony or reception (save nursing mothers) and will have childcare on site with nannies/sitters for babies, toddlers, and older kids
- we are only allowing plus one's for married couples and significant other's who we both know
So the RSVP element is the key element of our website. I want to collect all that information, and control ONLY for that information so no one sneaks a guest in or thinks they are exempt from our set etiquette. I'd love to do this for free, but if paying means we have more control so be it. I've looked at lots of templates and am sort of bored with a lot of them, though I think we could go with a rather basic chalkboard/monochrome dark website and orient our engagement shoot to provide the color we desire.
I've read the psa's about the knot's rsvp function being sub par. In addition to wix, I'm considering:
- RSVPify
- The Knot
- Minted
- Wedding Wire
- AnRSVP
- Appy Couple
- WithJoy
- Zola
- Bliss & Bone
- Square Space
Tell me everything! What do you recommend favorably or against?
