How early did you buy your alcohol?

Hi! I'm getting married May 12th and we have the awesome option of supplying our own alcohol. I've already picked up the liquor and the non-corked wine but wasn't sure how early was too early to pick up bear and corked wine.

I basically want to ensure the flavor isn't compromised. We don't have endless space where we live and it may be difficult to find a spot to store all of our wine and beer in a cool, dark place (esp. sideways for the wine).

Would three weeks be too early? Google search results have shown forums saying week of. Thanks in advance!
