Hey all!
I'm recently engaged (New Years eve!) and just starting to think about weddings. My fiancé and I are both quite introverted, and I know our wedding will be very non-traditional.
Our conversations about the wedding we would like have mostly centred on the things we don't want to do hah. For example, no first dance, no cake cutting, no speeches (I would like to say a few words but no groom speech, definitely no best man speech)
We have a son who is 18 months now and will probably be 3/4ish at the wedding. A lot of our friends (and we really don't have very many in all honesty) have kids too.
Is a short wedding too weird? If it ended by like 6pm is that something vendors/venues would be used to dealing with?
Neither of us are party people in any way, we're just chilled introverts who like a quiet life. I can't imagine having to deal with socialising for hours and hours afterwards. I just want our little man to go home to bed at grandmas and then me and hubs can go to a hotel to fuck before we're too tired and watch movies in bed.
Do you have any advice for us, or any ideas? I'd also accept reassurance that this quiet, antisocial wedding I would love is something achievable lol
