I have been very indecisive with deciding which style to go with for my wedding at the end of August! I bought dress 1 & 2 already, but keep going back and forth about all the possible choices.
Details: It will be an outdoor wedding (ceremony on an open lawn and reception under a sailcloth tent) in New England. Color theme is dusty blue and cream/ivory, with pops of lavender.
Options: 1) I love the fit and flare silhouette and strapless, sweetheart neckline. I love the white color as well- I feel very bridal. I feel like the front of the dress is too simple, but I love the illusion back! I think this is a very pretty dress, but don’t feel the “wow” factor. I felt like I wanted a little more. **Note: this dress is several sizes too big, so I will need to get it significantly altered as it is a sample gown.
2) I absolutely loved the way I looked in this dress! It has a very similar silhouette as the first dress (fit and flare, strapless sweetheart neckline), but it has the additional details that gave me that “wow” factor that I was looking for. I was surprised by how much I liked the blush underlay, as it really makes the floral appliqués and glitter pop. I also didn’t think I’d like the sheer bodice and exposed boning, but I think it actually works very well. My concerns with this dress is if it looks “bridal” enough. I also think it is a little more dramatic than I originally thought I’d go for, and I’m worried if my future husband (FH) would prefer to see me in a more traditional dress (we are not doing a first look, so he’ll first see me walking down the aisle). **This dress was ordered to my closest dress size, so it will require a little bit of alterations.
3) I also really love the minimalist look as well, and have thought about going with a much more simple, classic and elegant dress. I keep thinking about how in the future I want to look back at my wedding photos and have a dress that is more timeless instead of trendy.
I was thinking something like this Or this:
Opinions and advice please! TIA
Dress number two, it hugs your body beautifully. Plus it looks so amazing on you
