Wedding planning advice needed!

Post Body

I’m newly engaged to my boyfriend of 7 years (yay!) but starting the wedding planning process has been so overwhelming. Budget isn’t technically a problem other than the fact that it’s difficult to imagine spending so much money on 1 day. I know weddings are special and only happen once but the money spent on a wedding could make a difference in our lives, like buying a house. My hubby to be doesn’t seem to have much of an input, which I assumed would be the case. My dream was to do an intimate lake como wedding thinking it would be less expensive than a big wedding here in the states. I’m torn between wanting a fairy tale wedding or something so simple in the backyard. We have big families so we would have around 60 guests. Idk if that would be considered a micro wedding? Planning seems really overwhelming so I’m pretty certain I would want a wedding planner. Also, leaning towards a lake house vibe anywhere in the US?but realistically I feel like anything we do other than in the backyard will be 20k Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I did a dream wedding in Sorrento. It was around 15k for the venue food and dj and photography. I am pretty familiar with the process. Como is EXPENSIVE! I was just there for a pre honeymoon and it was kinda boring. It’ll be min like 30k
