My partner and I have decided we would be eloping out of the country but I can’t help to think that I’m excluding it for my parents and I feel guilty. This might be the only wedding they see in the next 10 years and they are getting older.
I’m the eldest daughter (I have a younger brother). I honestly don’t have a lot of family to invite. I have a total of 10 immediate relatives from both sides of parents. Not a lot of friends I want to invite as well.
My partner has a big family. He’s the eldest of 4 boys (2 engaged, 1 married) and it is expected to have a traditional wedding where his parents can invite their friends (We’ve seen it happen when 1/4 boys got married… and I’m not a fan of inviting strangers)
Anyway, any advice on how to make my (or our) family included but still want to elope? I am not open to having a traditional wedding as I really get embarrassed with the thought of everyone looking at me the whole day.
If you only have 10 members on your side you want to invite have him pick 10 also. Its hard figuring out who to invite but at the end of the day its you and your future husbands day and the happiness of you two is what truly matters ❤️
