Getting married in a month and my fiancés mother broke her foot. She does not have a spouse or significant other but obviously still wants to walk down the aisle. She has bad balance to start, so we don’t trust her to walk down the aisle on her own. My fiancé asked if we could have one of my brothers walk her down (he is not a groomsman) and everyone agreed.
We would really like to give him a gift to show our appreciation and include him in the wedding party festivities (early arrival for brunch, wedding party pictures, being announced at the Grand March), but don’t know what “title” to give him. Would Honorary Groomsman be weird? His sister thinks that title is meant for the deceased but we can’t find a solid answer.
