What kind of dress may look best on me?

TW: extreme weight-loss; body image issues

So I’m super short (5’0” on a good day) and getting married sometime in 2024/2025 (haven’t chosen a date yet). However, I decided to do an impulsive thing and go to the Kleinfeld sample sale on March 21st (aka 10 days from now). WHAT SHOULD I TRY ON?

I think I look really good in a-line dresses, or 1950s “new look” kind of dresses (tight waist, floof skirt). But also have felt more confident lately in tighter fits beyond the waist.

The thing is, I used to be almost 300 lbs and lost 120 lbs since 2021… my boobs sag a lot now (on top of all the loose skin around my boobs) makes me self-conscious about wanting to show cleavage. I also have 8 lbs of loose skin on my lower belly that doesn’t just go away with spanx. Ideally I’d have major excess skin removal prior to the wedding but I probably won’t… so i have to find a way not to hate every inch of my body throughout this process.

What kind of dress will show off how hard I’ve worked to get my body to look the way I want it to?

Here is a spreadsheet of dresses I’ve been looking at, in case someone has the time/interest/spoons to help me pick some good examples: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QVCRAseL0HTYqr0ftezu_T4srbJAmJgz4LdqWc5vVgU/edit
