Can someone help me understand what happened to this comic?

This is a really good romance comic and I've been eagerly waiting for the second season to start. Unfortunately It's been on hiatus for a while now.
I understand that they may have something going on in their lives that's preventing them form continuing and that they don't need to focus their lives on a comic but I'm not following them on any social media ,if they even have any, so I'm completely clueless on what's going on.
Does anybody know?
