Need help with SSL certificates, domain transferring and wordpress plans

Post Body

Hi all,

I am trying to help an organisation with their WordPress website, which is fairly simple and is just content to view. They currently pay around £100 per year with Tsohosts and get an SSL certificate (Is this a good deal?). edit: if they were to go with the most basic Tsohosts plan, I would also need to buy an SSL certificate as it isn't included in the plan and (I believe) Tsohosts blocks letsencrypt. Is this right?

I thought this pricing of £100/year was maybe too expensive, so I looked at other hosting options on the sidebar, specifically Krystal. Is it a good idea to just use the amethyst £70/year option and use letsencrypt for SSL? There is another option about "managed WordPress hosting", but this is double the price and I assume they don't need it.

Now onto transferring of domains. Since it is a non-UK domain, I need the domain to be unlocked and I need the EPP code but I have no idea how to do either. I also assume they would need to pay to transfer the domain.

Finally, how would I update the PHP on their website with the current host? Would they need to do it via Tsohosts?

Sorry for all the questions, I have no experience with WordPress and I'm trying to sort out everything

Edit for questionnaire
