Best practices when billing clients for websites

I'm fairly new to web design/development as a freelance side-gig, and it's looking as if I've most likely landed a client. I'm planning on using SiteGround or A2 reseller hosting (haven't decided between the two yet, opinions are welcome) and billing for domains and hosting via WHMCS or Blesta, but what's the best way to invoice clients for monthly maintenance and the website fee? As far as I can tell, this functionality is beyond WHMCS's abilities.

I know I could just use PayPal, but if I ever reach a large scale that seems like a nightmare trying to manually manage invoices. What software do you guys use? Thanks a ton!
