So I have been having trouble all night and so far on three different threads, I was told to try WordPress instead. (I understand where they are coming from but..)

I have a page that I want to use as a portfolio page, and I want to import all the files I have in this one directory (it's like 40 photos and there will be more in there future)

I've looked around on Stackover flow and all that: they all suggest using PHP but I am not too sure how to use PHP, I am really new to web design. MY issue with PHP is I am not too sure how to call it in the HTML code.

How would I import all the photos I have on to my page (I will figure CSS and all that later) with as little code as possible?
