I constantly dig a hole for myself by trying to improve code
Post Body

Whenever I'm working on a task, a lot of times, I see room for improvement in the surrounding code and I struggle with just leaving it alone. This usually ends up with me taking longer to complete tasks and having bigger commits to review which doesn't always look good. Does anyone else find themselves in similar situations? If so, how have you dealt with it and what has come of it, if anything? I haven't received any complaints on my performance so far, but it's still something I think about.
