Would you charge more if a client wanted to see while you did the work on screen share?
Post Body

I got a message from a client recently who was interested in some development/design work but in 1 hour intervals and he wanted me to teach him what I was doing while I shared my screen the entire time.

I told him I would charge more than my hourly rate for that because that would take more effort and focus. He said he does not see why the hourly rate would be different?

  1. Do you agree with me or the client?
  2. How would you elegantly explain this to the client?

I am sure I am not the only one who thinks this way as I found a lot of images like the one below on the internet after a Google search but I need some help with coming up with a good explanation.
