How to get the achievement from the busts in the stairs?

I've placed all the busts in the stairs in the right order and I even checked the wiki to confirm they were right. I put a driftwood fragment on my slot and the House Key for my successor (both have the "Thing" aspect). The achievement didn't pop up. Is there something else I have to do, somewhere to click or is this a glitch?
