I've googled it and seen a range of numbers, but in terms of real life battles, do ships generally have time to react to torpedoes? Or is that just in the movies like being able to see/react to a bazooka. I realize there is a ton of wiggle room with type of torpedoes and how far away they're fired from and how good detection systems are ect... But as best as generally can be answered, if I'm on a ship and and an incoming torpedo is detected, what are the odds? Is the ship generally okay unless unlucky? Are there stats for torpedoes avoided vs made contact from battles? I could probably ramble on but I think my point is made and question asked, thank you to anyone who has something to say!
