Moving to Waterloo (Possibly 200 Shakespeare) Looking for some guidance on renting and employment
Post Body

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are looking to move to Waterloo this August, she's starting her Masters program and I've decided to join her.

I do however have some questions on renting and job opportunities.

We spent the weekend viewing a bunch of apartments, and we seem hopeful about one at 200 Shakespeare. However, I am a sucker for seeing how other people have reviewed it. In the past it seemed to have had some issues but the apartment is under new management and has been completely renovated. During our tour, we didn't spot any oddities and even talked to 2 people currently living there who seemed to be happy with their decision. Does anyone have any experience about this location?

Secondly, I'll likely be looking for a new job. I don't believe my commute from Waterloo to the GTA would be feasible on my body or my mind sitting through traffic, especially during the winter months. How competitive is the waterloo landscape for accounting/finance? I'm nearing the completion of my CPA so I'm hoping that would be beneficial. I am just nervous being unemployed for a long period of time.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thanks!
