Switched from distroplate to resivoir and having problems

As the title says, I switched from a lianli distroplate to a resivoir D5 set-up, using the Alphacool Eisbecher Aurora 250mm resivoir What are people's experiences with it. I was getting a flow of 1.6 L/min with the distroplate, but with the alphacool, I am getting only 1.0/ L/min max. Is it just the resivoir being too restrictive? It's kind of a bummer because I assumed that a D5 setup would be better for flow and easier to upgrade when changing cases.
