I ordered a EKWB Predator 360 AIO Expandable Liquid CPU Cooler three weeks ago. Yesterday it started making a bubbling/slushing sound, I did take a look at it as it was a sound I had not heard before, however I did not see anything out of the ordinary.
Just before I was about to go to bed, I heard a pop within my computer. Turns out, the AIO cooler leaked coolant onto my fan; shorting out the fan and my fan hub. Thankfully the two other fans still work that were plugged into the hub.
I am quite upset about this considering I have had this AIO for 3 weeks and it shorted out my fan and fan hub, and now I will be without a computer this weekend. In light of this I am thankful it did not leak onto my MoBo or my GPU's.
Photos!!! You can see in photo 3 on the right side of where the hose connects, the water that has dripped out. Perhaps a fault O-Ring?
Has anyone seen this leak before? It really sucks, because before I bought that one, the pump on my radiator just died, so I was like, i'll buy the most expensive one I can find. Nope, dies within 3 weeks.
The predator I have is revision 1.1, so it wasn't part of the 1.0 batch that had to be returned. :(
