Game won't start after splash screen appears.

I just bought Watch Dogs 2 on steam as my friends play on steam with this game. When I launch the game and login into UPLAY the Watch Dogs 2 Splash screen appears and goes away after a minute or 2. Tried running Watchdogs2.exe and EAC as admin and also tried different compatibility versions.

I am having no luck and at this point i am going to return it but i really want to play this game because it looks fun.
