Alternate models and miniatures for new creatures?

Has anyone purchased any models or miniatures that they're using as substitutes for creatures that aren't within the official wasteland warfare line? Or has anyone made/converted some of their own? Would love to see what people have, maybe get a thread going.
As an example, trimming the noses off of the Heresy Miniatures Waspquito makes for some pretty decent Cazadores for example
