Had an interesting experience on the Metro this morning. Two guys started yelling/posturing, with one threatening the other he should move to the other end of the car or get beat up. They obviously knew each other and had some beef going on. One guy eventually moved and everything calmed down, no big deal.
The weird thing was that at the next station the operator made the usual announcement, then added, "Just a reminder, folks, if you see something, say something. Let's stay safe."
Are there cameras in the cars, that the operators can see? I did a little googling but couldn't find the answer. I was at the back of the third car and it was fairly full, so I don't think the operator could directly see what went down.
It could have been a coincidence, but if not, could be a sign of Metro maybe starting to pay attention to violence on the trains.
EDIT: Pretty sure it was in reference to the Brussels attacks, didn't hear the news until I got to work. Guess it was just a coincidence the announcement happened after the scuffle.
