Hello there! And before you say anything...Yes! I did check the Sidebar so I am coming to you all after a thorough search!

I will be traveling to D.C. alone for a few days in early October...staying at an AirBnB...and basically just enjoying some solitude and a brief respite from grad school and...life. I have been to D.C. a couple of times before but always with others (family, boyfriend, etc...) so I am excited about getting to see the city on my own (itinery-filled) schedule. I will be hitting some of my favorite spots as well as a few place I have still yet to see.

ANYWAY, the point of this is that I still want to go out an enjoy some amazing food but I am looking for places where it wouldn't be completely weird to be dining alone. I am a foodie (and a drinkie?) by heart and don't want to spend my days either at fast-food places or having to make all my meals in my lonely room.

I definitely plan on checking out Union Market and Astro Doughnuts, but any other suggestions for this hungry traveller would be most appreciated!
