Post Body

I don’t know about you, but this city is incredible for building a successful career and achieving your salary goals.

Three years ago, I was making $45k in a govt job back in Florida. Now, three years later, I’m nearly at $90k, and I could have hit six figures but chose my current job for its benefits (won’t go into details for privacy).

Is it just me, or is this the place to be if you want to “make it” in this country? The job opportunities are endless, from nonprofits to government and policy roles. Not to mention the networking opportunities, abundant work conferences, and the chance to be surrounded by some of the most intelligent people in the country.

It also doesn’t seem as competitive as bigger cities like NYC. I truly believe I’ll be making $120k in the next few years.

The American dream may not exist everywhere—but it does in D.C.

What do you think?
