I am re-venturing into dating in DC and now that I'm in my late mid-thirties I just can't be in a place with loud music. Were restaurants always THIS loud? I feel like when I was in my 20s, I could have an indoor voice conversation at The Hamilton's bar.
It's spring so outdoors is still relatively nice, but come July and August, ain't nobody gonna want to be outside.
I went to The Dignitary a couple months for a weeknight first date and had a great time. It's part of the Marriott but has a separate entrance. It's a perfect spot for a whiskey person. We met at 8 so I can't comment on how loud it can be prior to that.
