So it's only been a few days since Wartrade started, and you guys have been doing a good job so far of keeping it civil. Even so, there's a few things I need to bring up to reduce confusion and maximize happiness.
PLEASE FORMAT YOUR TRADES PROPERLY: Most people have been doing a good job, but every now and then I see a trade posted with no tags to help clarify it's purpose. Sure, the title could give a good idea, but a simple [H] and [W] can make it MUCH easier to analyze at a glance. Since it's still a bit early in the process I wont do anything for now, but starting next Monday I'll hide posts that don't follow this rule. I'll provide a message stating why though, so you're at least aware.
To continue with the above, there's a couple things to add to the formatting rules.
A. Always have a [W] tag, if you don't know what you want, just follow it with "offers".
B. Only use [SHOP] if you're selling over 15 mods at once.
C. If you're selling under 15, put a couple of the most valuable in the title to entice readers.
Now if you guys feel any of these rules are too harsh, let me know and I'll be more lenient. B and C for sure won't be strictly enforced, but again, organization helps.
Now, /u/Vampy26 brought up an interesting question, "can we trade plat for out of game items?" Now I personally have no issue with this, if you want to take the risk, that's your prerogative. Trades can follow the same rules as other ones posted here. Some tips though, since middle manning could be time consuming or difficult, I feel that the plat trader should offer first, considering plat has a much lesser value over multiple mediums. But that's just my opinion. If you guys think we should start a list of approved middle men, let me know. I was also considering an official reputation thread to help separate scammers. This system is a far cry from foolproof, so trade cross medium at your own risk.
/u/AlucardD80 recently asked about a sticky for plat prices, but unfortunately I can't provide one. I believe that an open barter system without preconceived prices makes the experience more fun. If someone wishes to start a [PSA] thread on their own with these prices, go ahead. If it's well received, I might sticky it.
So TL;DR: Here are my ideas for the subreddit, what are YOURS?
