had a question about the game

Is the game still active and if so how would one go about joining in and playing is that possible for a game this old? My older friend has told me so much about the game and I've played plenty other Warhammer games. I was wondering if you can play as skeever or skaven on this (I have played the games yes but bad memory so pls don't judge if the game is wrong for the rat men thanks)
