I’m really trying to figure these guys out, but we know almost nothing about them. Despite that, they’re mentioned over and over and over in the game. We know they made the shadowlands as well as those who rule it (The Eternal Ones) and that they’re gone now, either getting killed by something or just disappearing for whatever reason. How do they compare the other super powerful beings in the Warcraft universe? At they titans, void lords, old gods, etc. Then there’s the biggest question: what made them?

If I had to guess,the first ones are, or were, powerful beings who wanted to create a realm where they could control the afterlives of mortals, for whatever reason you can think of, considering blizzard’s story telling it could be anything, even for fun lol.

I don’t have a problem with mysterious powers remaining unexplainable to our characters, but it just feels like they hastily made these guys to attempt to make the shadowlands a bit more explainable. Either way, I hope we learn more in the future.
